Derek Liss, Esq., is a partner at Segal, Berk, Gaines & Liss who specializes in personal injury cases, specifically focusing on auto accidents, premises liability, and slip and fall cases. He also specializes in negotiating and settling cases.
Mr. Liss graduated from The George Washington University with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree in 1991 and went on to graduate in 1994 from the Widener School of Law with his Juris Doctor degree. He joined the law firm of Segal, Berk, Gaines & Liss immediately following his graduation from Widener and has over 30 years of experience.
Mr. Liss handles cases in Philadelphia, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Bucks County, Chester County, and Berks County. He is admitted to practice in the courts of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
He is also on the Executive Committee for the Friends of Jerry Segal, which raises money through charitable efforts, including an annual golf tournament – the Jerry Segal Classic – for the Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.
In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, seeing live music, and watching his son play college lacrosse.
